• The meter box shall be high-density Polyethylene of one-piece molded construction for durability and impact strength and shall have a wall thickness of no less than .550 inch. The meter box, with a ductile iron cover installed, shall be able to bear a 20,000 lb. load in a wheel load (H-20) style test. Meter box shall be able to withstand a 200 lb. side load applied with a 4 inch x 4 inch plate 1 inch down from the top center of the box, without deflecting more than 1 inch
