• Taco 4900 Series ® Commercial Air & Dirt Separators help you save money and prolong the life of system pumps, piping and components by removing air, dirt and other contaminants from the system to prevent problems such as reduced heat transfer, loss of efficiency, pipe corrosion, pump damage, noise and the waste and cost of increased energy consumption. Patented PALL ring technology, and an optional switchable on/ off magnet, clears the system of micro-bubbles as small as 18 x 10 -6 meters, magnetite, sand, dirt and rust. Through the use of our Pall Ring design, the 4900 Series ® uses coalescence to collect and merge micro-bubbles and allow them to vent through the integral vent mechanism at the top of the vessel. The Pall Rings stop the momentum of dirt particles allowing them to fall to the bottom of the vessel and be blown down by the integral full port blow down valve. The optional on/ off magnet uses a high-powered neodymium magnet assembly to collect black iron oxide and magnetite. This unique feature of being able to energize the magnet with the flip of a handle allows easy maintenance, reducing the time and effort required to collect and flush magnetite from your system. These are great for systems with variable speed, ECM and constant flow requirements. Taco 4900 Series ® Commercial Air Separator feature test results from a 3rd party independent testing agency so you can be confident in the performance results of our 4900 models. Taco 4900 Series ® Tanks are designed, constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 requirements.
